My name is Jessica Rauchut and I am an editor for our Stories in Science initiative. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and Biochemistry at Shippensburg University and my Master’s in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University. I have held various jobs and internships with the USDA and DoD over the years and now I currently work as a Research Associate and Lab Manager for Dr. James Broach at Penn State College of Medicine focusing on personalized medicine.

In my free time I enjoy hiking and running with my dogs and participating in community events to promote STEM education. My interests include STEM advocacy, policy, and outreach.

An exciting community that believes in supporting innovative ideas in science education that address issues of access in science particularly in underrepresented populations and under- served areas around the world. It is indeed exciting to be part the SAi community!
