Our research is focused on understanding the connections between science and society (see Fig.1). Here are some example questions: What is the nature of initiatives that are connecting science and society? Where are they? What approaches are they using to connect science and society? How do the connections develop? Which connections are missing? Who is collaborating with whom? 

At the most fundamental level, we are curious about the connectivity within the different elements.
